I made several trips to Europe in the late 1970’s some on assignment and other occasions to shoot editorially.

I have always admired the style of French and Italian people, even the gentlemen selling roasted chestnuts on the Champs-Elysees was wearing a three-piece suit that day. And just as finely dressed were the four men in St. Peter’s Square as they discussed and solved the problems of the world while leaning upon their umbrellas so carefully place.
