Untethered Analog film era archives : 1973-1999
A collection including approx 2500 (4"x5", 2 1/4") negatives, transparencies, silver gel prints, and original newspaper (primarily published in The Post Dispatch or Globe Democrat) or magazine tear sheets from that era (1976-1985). I created these images in my studio in St. Louis, on location, or at studios in Chicago and New York City.
Photographing freelance independently, I was the only photographer creating fashion exclusively for Famous Barr department stores, the largest force by far, at the very beginning of the transition from illustrating fashion to photography.
Although Chicago and New York photographers were already publishing similar work, this was the origination of this important era for fashion photography in St. Louis.
